This 7-Day Samburu Safari takes you through northern Kenya’s wild heart. Depart Nairobi and journey to Samburu Game Reserve, where unique wildlife thrives under semi-arid skies. Over multiple game drives, you’ll spot rare species like gerenuk, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and other endemic animals. Travel onward to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the Big Five and elusive nocturnal creatures; then to shimmering Lake Nakuru with its flamingos and birdlife. The final days are in the legendary Masai Mara, open plains, predator action, and an optional hot air balloon ride at dawn. Lodges or tented camps offer comfort, full board meals, and expert guides. Return to Nairobi on day seven, your soul filled with unforgettable Kenyan wilderness moments.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu Game Reserve

Picked from the Pickup point, and drive north to Samburu to arrive at your hotel in time for lunch. At 1600 hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park to introduce you to the game in the area. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. BLD Overnight and dinner at a lodge in Samburu .

Day 2: Samburu

Full day in the reserve with game drives at 0630hrs and 1600 hrs respectively. Samburu is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx and Grevy’s zebra. Overnight and dinner at a lodge in Samburu.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Full day at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with morning and evening game drive. Ol Pejeta boasts an astounding variety of animals including non-indigenous chimpanzees and the Big Five. The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plans will guarantee you an unforgettable safari experience. Optional activities at the Ol Pejeta include night game drive and camel rides.

Lion tracking- ou get a chance to accompany lion trackers in search of lions fitted with radio collars.

Night game drive- ou stand a chance to spot some bat-eared foxes, leopard, and lion hunts .

Guided tours- this includes bush or bird walks the rangers know the best route to see wildlife and different species of bird.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta -Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart and drive towards the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at in time for lunch. At 1600 hrs. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in park that also takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Overnight and dinner at a lodge in Lake Nakuru

Day 5 & Day 06: Masai Mara

Spend a full day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve and to see a diverse collection of wildlife. You will have a morning and afternoon game drive Optional balloon ride at an extra charge. Overnight and dinner at Mara

Day 07: Departure

Enjoy breakfast then depart for Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi in early hours and left at own pleasure.

Full board accommodation whilst on safari according to the itinerary.
