Enjoy an early breakfast and get prepared for pick-up by 7:30 am for a 6 hours drive to Murchison falls national park. Stop over at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see endangered black and white rhinos in their sanctuary. Continue your journey to Masindi town and stop over at Masindi hotel/ Court View Hotel for lunch. Proceed to Murchison falls park where you will be welcomed by baboons, warthogs and other wildlife animals. You will be driven to the top of falls where you can get a spectacular view of the mighty Nile as it forces its way through a 7m narrow gorge forming a powerful 43 meter fall. Take pictures and relax on the rocks until your transfer to the lodge. Check in and prepare for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast , set off for a morning game drive in the northern section for a chance to spot early risers and nocturnal species before they return to their hideouts. Arrive at the nile just in time to board the ferry crossing to the northern section. A game drive through the park offers opportunities to encounter small and big game including huge herds of buffaloes, elephants, lions, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, waterbucks, antelopes, hyenas, Uganda kobs plus lots of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and short nap. After lunch, set out for an afternoon launch cruise to the bottom of the falls where you you will spot lots animals and birds resting and drinking water along the Nile shores. Expect to see lots of hippos, buffaloes, Nile crocodiles plus birds like African fish eagle, Yellow billed stork, Egyptian goose, Egrets, Malachite kingfisher among others. The launch cruise will take you close to the falls’ base where you will be shown the spot where Ernest Hemingway’s plane crashed during sightseeing tour to Murchison falls in 1954. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, prepare for check out and drive back to Kampala city for departure.
