Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Your safari adventure to Amboseli National Park begins with an early morning pick-up in Nairobi. You’ll embark on a scenic drive south, with a view of the vast Kenyan landscape. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, allowing you to settle in and prepare for your first game drive.

Later in the afternoon, you’ll head out into Amboseli, renowned as the second most popular park in Kenya. The park is famous for its unique blend of open savannas, acacia woodlands, and swamps. It’s also known as “the land of giants” for its impressive herds of elephants, many with massive tusks.

As you explore, keep a lookout for the park’s diverse wildlife and birdlife. At the end of the day, you will return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2: Amboseli – Nairobi

Early Morning: Game Drive and Kilimanjaro Views

Wake up to the sounds and smells of nature as you prepare for an early morning game drive. This time of the days offers you a good opportunity for game viewing, as the predators are often most active and the light is perfect for photography.

The early morning also offers the highest chance of seeing the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in its full glory, as its peak is often obscured by clouds later in the day. This is not guaranteed and is mainly dependent on the weather.

This morning we explore Amboseli’s diverse ecosystems, from the open plains to the swamps, which are fed by Kilimanjaro’s underground springs. Look for the park’s famous large elephant herds as they begin their day, as well as lions, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest, and various bird species.

At 9.00am we will return to the lodge for a relaxed hearty, late breakfast. You will then check out of your accommodation and, begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi. This journey offers you a great time to reflect on your safari and enjoy the changing landscape of the Kenyan countryside.

At 1.00p.m. Enjoy a packed lunch en route or make a stop at a local restaurant for a quick meal.

Arrive back in Nairobi. The safari officially concludes with your drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
