Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Nairobi – Masai Mara – 229 Kms.

Pick up at the your agreed picked up point and transfer to Travel to the Masai Mara this is a scenic drive that take you towards the Great Rift Valley—one of the natural wonders of the world. Stretching from Syria in the Middle East all the way down to Mozambique, the Rift Valley is a breathtaking geological marvel. In Kenya, it is home to a chain of beautiful lakes and escarpments, offering an unforgettable view as you descend.

We make a brief stopover at view point offering you an photographic moment and time to take a health break .

Continue your journey across the endless savannah plains dotted with graceful acacia trees, before arriving in the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon game drive where you begin to experience the incredible wildlife of the Mara.

Wake up to the sounds and sights of the wild – truly magical moment.

After breakfast, depending on the wildlife migration patterns and the weather, early morning breakfast followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for its black mane lions and the annual wildebeest migration.

Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya. This journey is coupled by numerous obstacles which makes it even more magnificent. You will have a picnic lunch and continue with the game drives arriving at the lodge in the evening for a well-deserved rest and hot relaxing shower.

Depart Masai Mara National Reserve after an early breakfast. 

You will have a brief stopover at the Masai town of Narok after which you will proceed towards Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch an overnight stay.

The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to the shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lakes large hippo population sleep the day out in the shallow lake shores.  

Optional boat trips on the lake are widely available, and are a great way to spend the afternoon.

Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge

Early breakfast at the lodge and depart Lake Nakuru heading for the Amboseli National Park. You will pass by Nairobi city and proceed south through the Kapiti and Konza plains. 

You will arrive at Amboseli in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Breakfast at the lodge.

Amboseli National Park is located in Loitoktok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The ecosystem mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species including Lions, Cheetahs, Zebras, and Wildebeest among others. 

You will have two game drives on this day. An early morning and evening game drive. You will have the remainder of the day at leisure and open for any optional activities you may be interested in e.g visiting a Masai Village.

Other attractions of the park include spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Accommodation: Amboseli Sopa Lodge

After breakfast you will depart Amboseli National Park and head for the Tsavo West National Park. 

You will stop over to view the Shetani Lava Flow. ‘Shetani’ meaning Devil. This is a stretch of solid a black lava flow which were the remains of volcanic eruptions after it spewed from the earth over 200 years ago.

The Tsavo West ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges.

Major wildlife attractions include elephant, rhino, hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, buffalos, diverse plant and bird species. 

Accommodation will be at Salt Lick Safari Lodge: The lodge has unique rooms, all elevated on stilts and built across two levels. From your room you are able to see the nocturnal animals as they come to the watering holes in search of water. 

The lodge is also able to offer you a night game drive at an extra cost if so desired.

Meal Plan: Full Board:  

Accommodation: Taita Hills Salt Lick Resort.

Breakfast at the Lodge.

After breakfast we continue with the game drive while viewing animals in their natural habitat.  

Visit the Mzima Springs. The mzima springs has attractions such as a hiking path alongside the ponds and springs, an underground glass windowed viewing room, several viewing platforms, all of which provide amazing views of the sites flora and fauna. 

Also game viewing, bird watching, safari walks and among other activities can be done in Mzima and around the springs.

After breakfast, you will leave your hotel as you exit the park. 

You will then continue on your journey to Diani where you will explore the beach and enjoy the beach activities for the next four day.

Arrive in Diani and check in at Diani Sea Resort & Spa or similar

The activities in Diani are easily done at your leisure and are optional. We have created a sample optional activity list that you can undertake on a daily basis.

Relax on the white sandy Diani Beach.

Go swimming, snorkeling, or try water sports like kitesurfing or jet skiing.

Sunset dhow cruise in the evening.

Dinner & Overnight at Diani Sea Resort & Spa or Similar

Visit Shimba Hills National Reserve for a half-day safari (sable antelopes, elephants, waterfalls).

Explore Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest on a guided cultural walk.

Enjoy local seafood dinner by the beach.

Dolphin watching and snorkeling trip to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park.

Enjoy breakfast at the resort. Enjoy a morning walk along the beach as you take in the final moments of your stay at Diani.
