Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha & Tarangire National Park

Arrive at Arusha. Your private guide will meet you and provide a detailed briefing.

You will be transferred to a small domestic airport for a short flight to Tarangire. This saves time and offers stunning aerial views.

Upon landing, you’ll be taken to your luxury camp, such as Tarangire Treetops or a similar  exclusive property.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive focused on the park’s famous baobab trees and large herds of elephants.

Spend a full day exploring Tarangire’s diverse landscapes, from the swamps and riverbeds to the open savanna.

Activities can include a game drive in a custom-built 4×4 vehicle, an optional walking safari, or a night game drive to spot nocturnal animals like civets and leopards.

The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 550 species.

Enjoy a final morning game drive in Tarangire before a leisurely drive to Lake Manyara National Park.

Arrive at a luxury lodge like Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, which offers stunning views of the Great Rift Valley.

Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon, looking for the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara, as well as large flocks of flamingos on the lake.

Start the day with an optional activity in Manyara, such as a treetop walkway tour or a canoeing trip on the lake.

Afterward, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Check into a stunning lodge on the crater rim, such as andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, which offers panoramic views and opulent service.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full-day game drive. This is a unique opportunity to see the “Big Five” in a single day due to the high concentration of wildlife.

Your guide will find a secluded spot for a delicious picnic lunch.

Take your time to observe the diverse ecosystems within the caldera, from the acacia forests to the alkaline lake.

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to the Serengeti, stopping at the famous Olduvai Gorge, known as the “Cradle of Mankind,” to learn about early human history.

The journey to the Serengeti is a game drive in itself, with opportunities to see wildlife along the way.

Check into your mobile tented camp or a permanent lodge, strategically located to be in the best position for the Great Migration. Camps like Singita Grumeti or Mwiba Lodge offer exclusive access to private concessions.
