This is a 12 Day /11 Night safari that combines bush and beach. The safari starts in Nairobi and ends in Diani as per the detailed itinerary below.
The safari is offered in Nissan 2WD/4WD safari vans with pop up roofs to enhance the wildlife game viewing experience.
Hotels and Lodges in Kenya complement the Kenyan safari. Hotels and lodges chosen on this travel route will offer you great hospitality, service and the menus offer you variety. The rooms are comfortable, clean and a great way to relax after a safari.
Most lodges and hotels also offer cultural experiences in the evening giving you a different feel of your safari.

Day 01: NAIROBI – MASAI MARA – 229 KMS.
Depart from your pick up point in Nairobi into the Great Rift Valley with a brief stopover at the Rift Valley view point.
The Great Rift Valley is one of the wonders of the world, stretching from the Syria, down through Africa, stretching as far as Mozambique. Whilst this stunning introduction to the Rift valley is amazing in itself, actually descending and exploring the Lakes of the Rift in Kenya is a “not to be missed” opportunity.
Proceed to the Masai Mara through endless savannah plains dotted with acacias and finally into the Masai Mara reserve in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Day 02: Masai Mara
Early morning breakfast followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for its black mane lions and the annual wildebeest migration
Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya. This journey is coupled by numerous obstacles which makes it even more magnificent.
You will have a picnic lunch and continue with the game drives arriving at the lodge in the evening for a well-deserved rest and hot relaxing shower.

Day 03: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha – Distance: 167 kms
Depart Masai Mara National Reserve after an early breakfast.
You will have a brief stopover at the Masai town of Narok after which you will proceed towards Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch an overnight stay.
The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to the shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lakes large hippo population sleep the day out in the shallow lake shores.
Boat trips on the lake are widely available, and are a great way to spend the afternoon.

Day 04: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli: Distance 232 kms
Early breakfast at the lodge and depart Lake Nakuru heading for the Amboseli National Park. You will pass by Nairobi city and proceed south through the Kapiti and Konza plains.
You will arrive at Amboseli in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Day 05: Amboseli
Breakfast at the lodge.
You will have two game drives on this day. An early morning and evening game drive. You will have the remainder of the day at leisure and open for any optional activities you may be interested in i.e. visiting a Masai Village.
Amboseli National Park is located in Loitoktok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya. The ecosystem mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species including Lions, Cheetahs, Zebras, and Wildebeest among others.
Other attractions of the park include spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 06: Amboseli – Tsavo West/Tsavo East:
After breakfast you will depart Amboseli National Park and head for the Tsavo West National Park.
You will stop over to view the Shetani Lava Flow. ‘Shetani’ meaning Devil, is a stretch of solid a black lava flow which were the remains of volcanic eruptions after it spewed from the earth over 200 years ago.
The Tsavo West ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges.
Major wildlife attractions include elephant, rhino, hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, buffalos, diverse plant and bird species.
Accommodation will be at Salt Lick Safari Lodge: The lodge has unique rooms, all elevated on stilts and built across two levels. From your room you are able to see the nocturnal animals as they come to the watering holes in search of water.
The lodge is also able to offer you a night game drive at an extra cost if so desired.

Day 07: Tsavo West/Tsavo East
Breakfast at the Lodge.
After breakfast we continue with the game drive. As we view animals in their natural habitat.
Visit the Mzima Springs. The mzima springs has attractions such as a hiking path alongside the ponds and springs, an underground glass windowed viewing room, several viewing platforms, all of which provide amazing views of the sites flora and fauna.
Also game viewing, bird watching, safari walks and among other activities can be done in Mzima and around the springs.

Day 08 –Tsavo East/Tsavo West – Drop off to Diani: 252 kms
After breakfast, you will leave your hotel as you exit the park. You will be dropped at the SGR Train Station for your train transfer to Mombasa.
You will be transferred from the SGR Mombasa to Diani.
Arrive in Diani and check in at Leopard Beach Hotel & Spa Diani. This will then be your home for four days.
Day: 9 – 11 Diani
Day 12: Depart Diani. The transfer from Diani to Nairobi will be agreed upon between us and you, our guest. There are two options. Transfer to Mombasa and return to Nairobi using the SGR or take a flight from Diani to Wilson and we transfer you to the hotel.

ELIDA TOURS & SAFARIS BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR TOURS & SAFARIS
The Booking Terms:
A minimum of 40 % of the total cost of the tour has to be paid at the time of booking confirmation and the balance is payable at/or before the start of the safari.
Any tour and safari deposit paid shall be refunded less the cost of cancellation fees levied by hotels and administrative costs as follow.

Less than 5 days and now show No refunds.
Please note that refunds will be done within 30 days after cancellation of the tour/safari.
Modification of tour
If you choose to modify the arrangements after the commencement of the tour i.e. change accommodation or the duration of your stay, the company shall accept no liability for any loss or additional expense and no refunds will be made.
Rates/ Prices
Tour prices include:
– All expenses for drivers and vehicles appropriate for the itinerary as set out. i.e. for transfers, game drives, drivers allowances unless otherwise stated in the itinerary.
– Government hotel taxes, training levy and service charges, all park entry fees except where specifically indicated separately.
Tour price exclude:
– Personal insurance,
– Airport taxes, landing fees for charters and visas,
– Gratuities to drivers and porters (other than hotel service charge),
– Beverages (unless otherwise indicated),
– Laundry, other personal expenses of tour members (i.e. telephone calls etc),
– Any other tour services requested that do not appear in the itinerary.
Safari booking and accommodation.
– Our safari package are based on two persons sharing in a twin room tent.
– Single rooms are provided at an additional cost (single room supplement – (SRS).
– Hotels/lodges/tented camps are named as an indication of the category of accommodation and if the need arises may be reserved at same standard of hotel/lodges/tented camps. In the event that this happens we undertake to notify you of any changes to your safari accommodation in advance.
Liability
i. The Company is insured against legal liability arising from injuries that might be received by passengers while inside vehicles.
ii. The Company and its agents act only as agents of the passenger in all the matters relating to hotel accommodation, sightseeing, tour and transport whether by aircraft, rail, motor vehicle, boat or any matter howsoever except when the passenger is being carried in transport owned by the Company.
iii. The Company’s obligations apply to those services, which they agree to provide on your behalf. We cannot be held liable for any third party arrangements you arrange in conjunction on your own. For instance, the Company will not be held liable if you miss your tour departure because you fail to arrive at the departure point at the agreed time.
iv. The Company’s liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the laws of the respective country in which services are provided and no other country, and all the claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the respective country in which the services were provided.
v. The company reserves the right to employ subcontractors to carry out all or part of the services agreed to be supplied and in the event of such right the terms to the clause iii relating to the company’s liability shall apply
vi. Whilst every care is taken, the company cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of baggage. It is therefore advisable to effect separate baggage insurance.
vii. In the event that a claim is made against the travel agent or the tour operator in respect of any loss or damage occasioned by the breach of contracts, negligence or other fault of the company, the Company shall be liable to indemnify the tour operator (as the case may be) in the courts of the country in which services were provided if the Tour Operator (as the case may be) had submitted jurisdiction in the said courts.
viii. In respect of any such claim mentioned in sub clause (ix) of this clause, the Company shall be under no liability expressly assumed in this clause.
ix. For the purpose of this clause, the Company shall be deemed to include its servants and agents and shall be deemed to contract on behalf of such servant and agent.
Passports and Visas
The client is required to ensure that their passport and travel documentation is in order and that they have obtained the necessary visas for their journey.
Travel Insurance
It is a condition of booking one of our tours that the traveler is adequately insured for the full duration of the tour in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellation and curtailment. The choice of insurer is the sole discretion of the client.
