If you arrive early, visit the Kenya National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum or the highly recommended Ken Bomas.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park

Drive past the beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha and Elementaita to Lake Nakuru National Park (about 3–4 hours) away. Located in the core of the Great Rift Valley, the tiny and compact region of Lake Nakuru National Park is a great place for wildlife spotting. Lake Nakuru is home to rhinos, along with the other members of the Big Five game, and there will be a nice opportunity to spot and photograph one of these gorgeous creatures. Outside the park, your exclusive camp is well located with flush toilets and showers. There are no upgrades to accommodation and WiFi.

included activities are

  • Lake Nakuru – Overland Vehicle Game Drive

Day 3: Lake Naivasha

Head to your guide’s neighboring village. Get a wonderful chance to communicate with local folk here and get a sense of daily life. Then drive to your camp close Lake Naivasha (about 3 hours) from Lake Nakuru. One of the few freshwater lakes in the Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha has papyrus reed floating islands and a flat-topped acacia border. It is also home to a good hippo population and a huge range of birds. There will be a chance to access an ATM and visit today’s market to shop up for the rest of the journey.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha

Enjoy some free time. You have a variety of activities to choose from. Maybe you heading to Hell’s Gate National Park, which features lovely cliffs, gorges, rock towers, volcanoes and a variety of geothermal events. Another excellent option is a boat journey across Lake Naivasha–maybe the best way to get into this lush area’s environment. If you’re searching for something interesting, you might want to hire a bicycle for the day and discover some of your own, venturing beyond the cactus and olive trees.

Day 4: Loita Hills Maasai Village

Leave Lake Naivasha and make a short stop for a food shopping place in Narok. Continue to Loita Hills (about 5–6 hours) and stop on the way for dinner. Today’s drive crosses the Great Rift Valley, the huge and spectacular big divide in Africa, and takes you to the distant Loita Hills region. This is the traditional home of Maasai. You will visit the Maasai, renowned for their vibrant red dress and elaborate jewelry, and gain insight into this proud East African community’s culture and ancient methods. Reach out to your Maasai hosts after you set up your tent. A local elder will give an intriguing talk about the Maasai and their history and culture.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Travel Masai Mara from Loita  (about 1–2 hours). When dry, the highway is dusty, and when wet, it could be slippery and smooth, so exercise caution. The Masai Mara is Africa’s quintessential experience, with sparse open plains, spectacular skies and some of the most tremendous animals in the world. Enjoy your dinner after setting up your camp. Then it’s time to jump into the amazing 4WDs and go through the Mara’s wilderness for a game drive. You camp tonight has flush toilets and showers outside the national reserve. Depending on accessibility, there is an upgrade option. However, there is no WiFi accessible here.

Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Join the Masai Mara National Reserve for a full-day 4WD game ride. You’re going to explore this varied ecosystem and see a variety of wildlife most probably. An optional sunrise balloon ride across the Mara is an unforgettable experience. If you have pre-booked this activity, you will be picked up before dawn and driven to your pilot’s starting point for a safety briefing. Then you glide through the dawn, at tree height sometimes, which offers incredible photo opportunities. Sometimes you’re going to ascend, get an overview of the plains ‘ enormity and the teeming herds’ early morning movements. You will be treated with a bush breakfast then be returned to your camp.

The balloon ride is provided as a pre-booked service to ensure a location for you. If you’d rather wait and attempt booking this locally on the floor to get a better price, you’re welcome to, but maintain in mind that this is a common activity and locations are restricted. If you participate in this activity, half of the included game drive will be missing in the morning.

Day 8: Nairobi

Say farewell to the African bush’s open expanses and return to Nairobi city (about 5–6 hours). Tonight there is no accommodation available, but this can be arranged–kindly ask when you book this journey. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you may be dropped at your hotel.
